John B. Pavia is the founder and principal attorney at Pavia Law, Inc.,
A Professional Corporation. He has over 15 years of extensive
experience in all aspects of estate planning, trust administration,
business formations, business planning and transactions,
corporate maintenance, business succession planning and real
estate transactions.John earned his Juris Doctor from Santa Clara
University, School of Law. Prior to law school, he graduated with
Cum Laude honors from St. Mary’s College of California,
receiving his Bachelor of Science degree with a double emphasis
in Business Administration and Economics. He is also a licensed
real estate broker with the California Department of Real Estate.
Prior to establishing his law career, John was a co-founding shareholder
and executive of a start-up technology company in Santa Clara, located
in the heart of Silicon Valley, where he gained valuable experience with
all legal aspects of running a small business, from developing shareholder
buy-sell agreements and executive compensation agreements to negotiating development and license contracts.
Though John started his practice in the world’s epicenter of technology, his work with the start-up company connected him to projects involving small business owners, families and individuals. He quickly developed a preference in representing these groups rather than large corporations and relocated his practice to the central valley of California, where he is originally from, so that he can best represent these individuals. While possessing extensive experience in business and real estate law, he has a personal passion for estate planning. Helping clients preserve their assets while maintaining a legacy that continues after their death, John has learned so much about what is truly important to people who plan for their families and for their businesses and properties. John is now licensed as Certified Legal Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law by the State Bar of California.
John has been active in a variety of civic and philanthropic projects and is a past board member of the Second Harvest Food Bank of San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties. He is a member of the following professional associations:
